Areas of collaboration
Bespoke quantitative research
Independent analysis for questions involving uncertainty, probability, market behaviour, risk or decision-making.
Projects may include model development, simulation, statistical testing, experimental design and the evaluation of competing explanations.
Commissioned studies
Focused investigations developed around a specific research question.
Each study begins with an agreed scope, available evidence and intended use. Findings are reported with their assumptions, limitations and level of confidence made clear.
Licensing
Selected indicators, analytical methods, datasets and research outputs may be available under licence.
Availability depends on the intended application, the rights involved and whether the arrangement is consistent with the underlying research.
Research partnerships
VividRange welcomes collaboration with researchers, organisations and domain specialists where access to data, subject knowledge or complementary methods could strengthen the work.
Commercial applications
Existing research may sometimes be adapted for use within a product, service or internal decision process.
Any application would require a defined scope, suitable validation and clear boundaries around interpretation and use.
Suitable projects
A suitable project usually has:
- a clear question or decision problem;
- access to relevant evidence or data;
- realistic expectations about uncertainty;
- a willingness to test assumptions rather than confirm a preferred answer;
- an identifiable use for the resulting work.
VividRange does not offer guaranteed outcomes, trading signals, live decision support or predetermined conclusions.
How engagements are approached
The first stage is to establish the question, the evidence available and whether the proposed work is technically and commercially appropriate.
Where there is a reasonable fit, the next step is to define:
- the scope of the investigation;
- the proposed method;
- the required inputs;
- the intended outputs;
- the treatment of confidential information and intellectual property;
- the limitations of the work.
Not every enquiry will lead to an engagement. Projects are accepted where the question is sufficiently clear, the evidence is suitable and the work falls within the capabilities and research interests of VividRange.
Intellectual property and confidentiality
Project terms are agreed in advance.
These may distinguish between commissioned outputs, pre-existing VividRange intellectual property, newly developed methods and any rights granted for commercial use.
Confidential information is treated according to the terms agreed for the engagement.
Make an enquiry
To discuss a possible project, provide a brief outline of:
- the question or problem;
- the relevant field or application;
- the evidence or data currently available;
- the intended use of the work;
- any important timing, confidentiality or licensing requirements.
VividRange® provides analytical and educational material only. Public material does not constitute advice, a recommendation or real-time assistance. Separate terms may apply to commissioned work, licensing and commercial engagements.
